Senior Emmah Ellis recognized on National First-Generation Student Day

Senior Emmah Ellis is recognized on National First-Generation Student Day.

Collin College recognized senior Emmah Ellis on Nov. 8 in celebration of National First-Generation Student Day. The institution honored 14 first-generation students from different districts who plan to enroll in the Fall of 2024. Ellis received this recognition for being the first Melissa ISD first-generation student to apply for the Fall 2024 semester. She was presented with some Collin College swag for her to use on campus next year.

Ellis is a member of the Mighty Cardinal Band, where she serves as a Section Leader for the Flutes. She plans to major in Business and Psychology when she begins her college career.
