This Valentine’s Day student council continued their tradition and gave each student at a special gift. Each person has a paper heart on the walls throughout the school with their name on it and a complement given by a fellow peer. Ms. Cowgill called this project, “Melissa Has Heart.” Student Council then pasted the quotes on pink or red hearts and clustered them on the wall for the whole school to see.

“Watching people pass the wall of hearts brings me joy when they try to find their name,” Hanna Waters, sophomore, said “It expresses people’s feelings about someone and we get to put it out there.”

No matter how hard someone tries to deny a compliment, it shows that each person in the school has influenced someone.

“This is the greatest project STUCO has done for our school,” Mr. Wooten, principal, said. “Every single student has something good said about them. Everyone likes to hear something good about themselves.”
