The Christmas choir concert was held on Dec. 12, at 7:00 p.m. Choir students of the Melissa High School and Middle School performed the songs “Carol of the Bells,” “Rise up Shepherd,” “We Wish You a Merry Christmas,” “Bring a Torch, Jeanette, Isabella,” “This Christmas” and Angels We Have Heard on High.”

The concert started off with sixth grade students and then seventh and eighth combined.

Soon afterwards, the high school guys sang their song specially made for them. Then the high school girls performed.

After both groups sang their songs, they ended the night with a conjoined singing of “We Wish You a Merry Christmas.” The choir students along with all who helped make the night great got an amazing standing ovation for their efforts and performances.

“Because we have fewer guys on the choir team this year it requires a lot more dedication than last year,” freshman Isaiah James said. “I was excited to show off the hard work we have been putting in and I’m glad you could see it through our performances.”

The students ended the night with Christmas cheer and a big round of applause.
