Cardinal Update

  • 9-11th grade students: Check your 2021-22 course selections in the Ascender Student Portal. Click here for more info. If you need to request a course change, then complete this Google form. All course changes need to be requested by May 21. No changes will be made in August!
  • Varsity softball will play a bi-district match against Ranchview at Highland Park High School on Thursday, April 29 @ 6 p.m. Click this link to purchase tickets.
  • Congratulations to our Cardinals of the Week. Freshman Gabi Jones was awarded Student of the Week, and Mrs. Christina Pinckney was named Teacher of the Week. Click here to read more.
  • Congratulations to varsity track! Both the boys and girls finished 3rd overall at the 4A Region II meet held this past weekend. The boys qualified three for state: senior Lucas Tauch (1st – 1600m; 1st – 3200m), senior Carlos Branch (2nd – 200m), and junior Ryan Johnson (2nd – high jump). The girls qualified two for state: senior Kaylee Lewis (1st – 100m, 1st – 200m) and soph. Abigail Bass (1st – 3200m, new regional record; 2nd – 1600m). Click here for the full results.
  • Congratulations to both the boys and girls varsity golf teams who are STATE-bound! The boys earned the title of Regional Champs and the girls secured their spot at state by clinching 2nd place at regionals.
  • Color Guard will host clinics on April 27-28 and auditions on April 29, open to any MHS student. Click here to learn more and sign up.

  • The Melissa Education Foundation (MEF) will host its 10th Annual Give Them Wings Co-Ed Softball Tournament on May 22 at the Zadow Park Ballfields. Click here to learn more and to register. All players must be 14 years of age or older and teams must consist of five men and five women.
  • The next driver’s ed class will start on May 12 and there are only a limited number of spots. Students can sign up in the main office on the first floor.
