Cardinals of the Week: May 3-7

Melissa High School has started a new feature to honor students and faculty members that display our core values on a consistent basis. Each week one student and one staff member will be spotlighted and awarded a certificate and some treats. The staff member will also be presented with a “traveling trophy.”

The Student of the Week is freshman Daniel Torres. One of his teachers had this to say about him:

“Daniel participates in class without being called upon and is getting his work turned in. He comes in for tutoring and asks for help. He loves positive praises and I love watching his face light up when he knows he did good. I am so proud of his success!”

Assistant Principal Stacy Needham presents the Cardinals of the Week Awards to Daniel Torres and Brittany Rosch. Also pictured is Christina Pinckney, last week’s teacher, who passed the trophy to Mrs. Rosch.

Mrs. Christina Pinckney nominated her colleague Mrs. Brittany Rosch, who teaches science, for Teacher of the Week:

“There is not one day I see Mrs. Rosch without a smile on her face! She has an absolute passion for what she does and it shows in her classroom through her engaging lessons and lab assignments. She makes Biology so fun. I am blessed to work with her.”
