Inspirit AI is an interdisciplinary tech program for middle and high school students taught by MIT and Stanford grad students.

As artificial intelligence continues to transform daily lives, space exploration in particular has become more innovative than ever before! The Inspirit team is excited to launch a new track, AI +Astronomy: Planet Hunters – Searching for Exoplanets with AI. In this project, students will use data collected from NASA’s Kepler space telescope to train AI models and detect exoplanets, which could help discover alien life!

Inspirit AI instructors come from a multitude of relevant backgrounds, with experience in disciplines like Astrophysics and Electrical Engineering. You can check out some of their work and passion projects here.

Applications for their summer program close on May 20. Students of all disciplines are invited to apply at this link. Whether you’re interested in AI+Astronomy or our other project domains, students will gain an invaluable learning experience that combines technology education with social impact (no programming experience required).

Artificial Intelligence for Social Good Summer Program by MIT Graduates

AI Scholars Live Online is a 10-session (25 hours) pre-college enrichment program that exposes high school students (grades 9-12) to the fundamentals of artificial intelligence and guides them to build a socially impactful project in areas including medicine, astronomy, journalism, finance, and more. Taught by a team of graduate students from Stanford and MIT, students receive a personalized, interdisciplinary learning experience with a student-teacher ratio of 4:1. They offer multiple dates and times for their Spring Semester and Summer Break programs. Students of all backgrounds may apply here (inspiritai.com/apply) by May 20th for Summer and learn more in their brochure or on their website (see here for middle school offerings).
