Cardinals of the Week: May 17-21

Melissa High School has started a new feature to honor students and faculty members that display our core values on a consistent basis. Each week one student and one staff member will be spotlighted and awarded a certificate and some treats. The staff member will also be presented with a “traveling trophy.”

The Student Cardinal of the Week is senior Jordan Sweat. She has overcome a lot of obstacles in her lifetime including paralysis, and she is a straight A student!

Asst. Principal Stacy Needham presents the Student of the Week Award to Jordan Sweat.

The Teacher Cardinal of the Week is science teacher Mrs. Paloma Everett. She was nominated by Mrs. Rosch who had this to say about her colleague:

“I chose Mrs. Everette for teacher of the week because of her love for teaching each and every one of her kids. She works hard at making the environmental system class fun and educational for each of the kids. Plus, it’s an added bonus that she is a joy to work with.”

Asst. Principal Needham along with Mrs. Rosch present this week’s award to science teacher Paloma Everett.
