In Princeton, Texas, a citizen was found dead in a burned down house. The identity of the people in the house have not been figured out yet.  Investigators are searching for evidence to see what the cause of the fire was, or if it was started by someone else.

This took place Monday, Oct. 4. The fire appeared to have started in the garage, or utility room of the house on 200 Black, Willow Lane. It was reported to the police around 8:30 p.m. by the neighbors.

NBC news talked to Emma O’Brien, a neighbor of the victim. She says, “I was actually scared because I was thinking the fire was going to come this way. Whoever or what started the fire, spread it through the house fast.”

The firefighters extinguished the flames, and during secondary inspection they found a body inside. Officials working on the investigation say more than one person lived in the home, and that the homeowner did not die, but his identity has not been spoken of yet. They have not been able to identify the bodies because when the investigators found them, they were damaged by the fire.

The owner of the house would also not speak of who was in the house with him, and says he knows nothing about how the fire started. He is still being questioned and investigated by reporters because of this.

NBC News also talked to Thomas Harvey, Princeton’s Fire Chief. He said, “The homeowner was accounted for initially upon arrival of the first arriving units.” The case is still being investigated to figure out how the fire started and who the people in the fire were.
