On Sept. 22 and Sept. 24, Law Enforcement I students learned arrest tactics taught by Officer Mike Hagood. This is Officer Hagood’s second year as a teacher at MHS.

Students reviewed handcuffing procedures, verbal commands, and the use of physical force in the 90-minute class periods. Officer Hagood instructed students on the process of an arrest one at a time, safely on mats, as others observed around the room. Students will be tested over applying these tactics on each other, treating the test as a real situation.
