After a prolonged hibernation, approximately five years, the highly beloved singer/songwriter Adele has finally announced that she is releasing her fourth studio album titled “30” that is sure to grasp the hearts of all its listeners.

“Divorce, babe, divorce” is the theme of Adele’s newest album as she comically stated in a previous Instagram live interview. Last January, she settled her divorce with Simon Konecki. In a recent interview with “Vogue,” she explained her feelings toward the situation.

“I was just going through the motions and I wasn’t happy,” she said. “Neither of us did anything wrong. Neither of us hurt each other or anything like that.”

Adele also mentioned that she wrote the album to act as an explanation to her son as to why the divorce happened in the first place.

“I wanted to explain to him through this record, when he’s in his twenties or thirties, who I am and why I voluntarily chose to dismantle his entire life in the pursuit of my own happiness.”

Released on Oct. 14, her lead single “Easy on Me” has held a firm claim on the number one spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart, with over 200 million streams from Spotify. Its music video premiered the same day and has been trending on YouTube ever since. The video first pictures Adele in black and white, driving through a windy countryside. As the song nears an end, a colorful warmth slowly fades to view while she sings incandescently, reminiscing her past relationship.

“30” is scheduled to release on Nov. 19.
