Trump Riots

After Trumps victory of the presidential election, anti-Trump protesters flooded the streets of many cities across America. They chanted anti-Trump slogans like, “Not my president, not today!¨ where they gathered near the White House, with a lot of confidence and distress. In cities from Boston to Los Angeles, thousands gathered to protest Wednesday, after the results of the election.

Most of these protests were big were in democratic bases, such as Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Philadelphia, Portland, Oregon, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington.

“I came out here to let go of a lot of fear that was sparked as soon as I saw the results,” protester Nick Powers said. He continued on saying he feared Trump will support stronger stop-and-frisk policies that would put many people in prison, worried that Trump’s victory would embolden sexist views.

In the show, ¨60 Minutes¨, Trump spoke out to the protests that have been rising, saying, “Don’t be afraid, we are going to bring our country back, but certainly don´t be afraid.¨ He responds to the acts of violence against his name, saying, ¨I am so saddened to hear that, and I say stop it, if it helps I will say this and I will say it right to the camera, stop it.¨

These over reactive riots may continue throughout the week, outpouring mostly in the democratic based area, but they will most likely die down as time goes on.
