Harry Styles’ new song “As It Was” was released on March 31, and it quickly became a pop sensation. Currently, his new track sits at the Number 1 spot with nearly 3 million plays in less than a week. “As It Was’’ music video is currently at #8 on trending music and has over 52 million views. Harry’s third album, “Harry’s House,” is set to release May 20 of this year.

There are some rumors surrounding the message of the song and if it is referring to Olivia Wilde, who Harry is reportedly dating. Fans think that the lyric, “Leave America, two kids follow her,” refers to Olivia because before their relationship she was going through a breakup with her former husband with whom she shares two kids.

This song was created into a sound on TikTok and a trend was created where people reminisce back on previous years.

Previous to “As It Was,” Adele’s “Easy on Me” was Spotify’s most streamed song in a day following its release, but now “As It Was” holds this precarious position.
