Cardinal Update
- PINK OUT WEEK: Starting Tuesday, students and staff will kick off with “Peace Out to Breast Cancer” by wearing tie-dye pink. Wednesday will be Pink Sock Day, where students will step up against breast cancer. On Thursday, “Pink is the New Black,” so everyone should wear a mix of pink and black. Finally, Friday, for the pep rally, everyone should go all out in pink—pink shirts, hair bows, bow ties, socks!
- BLOOD DRIVE: HOSA will host a Blood Drive on Wednesday, Oct. 2, open to students and staff members only. Click HERE to schedule an appointment. Students 16 years of age and older may donate; however, 16-year-olds must have parental consent. Click here to view an informational letter and the consent form. Printed copies of the form are available in the front office.
- WOH NOMINATIONS: Nominations for the 2024-2025 Wall of Honor are now open and close on Oct. 1. The Wall of Honor recognizes former students, former staff, and community members who have positively and significantly impacted the district and society. This ongoing initiative distinguishes altruistic, high-achieving individuals with a significant history. Melissa ISD will celebrate this year’s honoree at the Nov. 1 varsity football game. wallofhonor. - SAT SCHOOL DAY: Seniors received an email from Ms. Stover to register for the Fall SAT School Day, which will be Oct. 30. The deadline to register is 4 p.m. on Oct. 8.
- HOMECOMING WEEK: We invite all Melissa Cardinals, including students, staff, alumni, and family, to join us in celebrating Homecoming Week from October 15-18, 2024! - BUS RIDERS: All students who ride a bus to/from school must have a bus pass.
- CRAZY FOR CARDS: The Melissa Education Foundation’s “Crazy for Cardinals” annual fundraising campaign is now underway. You can get your very own “Crazy for Cards” yard sign starting at $35.
