  • Congratulations to junior Cole Milburn and Coach Busa for being named Cardinals of the Week. Click here to read more.
  • Congratulations to sophomore Bishop Curry for being honored in Microsoft’s 2022 Legacy Project, which is a celebration of black changemakers and their contributions to modern day American history. See graphic below and click here to visit the virtual museum. Bishop can be located in the “Young, Gifted and Black” gallery.
  • MHS will host its Academic Expo on Feb. 9 to assist incoming 9th graders and current 9th-11th grade students in requesting courses for next school year. Visit expo.melissaisd.org for lots of useful info.
  • MHS 2022-2023 Cheerleading Tryouts:
    • Student and parent/guardian must attend a meeting either Feb. 14 or Feb. 15 at 6 p.m. in the Championship Center, room 106B.
    • A clinic to learn the material will be held Feb. 18, 22 & 23 from 4:30-6 p.m. at the MMS main gym.
    • Tryouts will be held Feb. 24 at the MMS main gym. Participants may arrive at 4:30, and tryouts will begin at 5 p.m. and run until completion.
  • Yearbooks are on sale for $70 but quantities are limited! Visit balfour.com to order online, or see Ms. Nelson in Room #A136.
  • Tickets are on sale now for the “Mardi Gras in Melissa” gala on Saturday, March 19, presented by the Melissa Education Foundation. This annual event raises funds for Melissa ISD student scholarships and teacher grants. To learn more and purchase tickets, click here.
