Going undefeated in district, the Cardinals won the district championship title and bi-district championship. They will now advance to the second round of playoffs, facing Midlothian Heritage at Southlake Dragon Stadium at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 19.

The Cardinals, who are now ranked #3 in Division 4A-1, clinched the district title when they beat the Kaufman Lions on Nov. 5 with a score of 17-2 and were awarded the bi-district title on Nov. 11 when they beat the North Dallas Bulldogs, 73-20.

The top four teams from 4A-1 Region 2 District 7 were Melissa, Argyle, Paris, and Kaufman, which means they all advanced to the playoffs to compete for the state championship for their division.

All four teams have moved onto the second round of playoffs. Argyle (#1 ranked) will be facing Kennedale, Kaufman plays La Vega, and Paris takes on Stephenville (#4 ranked).
